Gary Sekerak

I started by being taught to keep the books of a Buddhist temple in Los Angeles. I went on to learn how to prepare individual income tax returns by taking a course through H & R Block. My first tax season was in 1976. It was the first of many tax seasons doing accounting and tax returns in Los Angeles area CPA firms.

Eventually getting serious about the profession, I went back to school to study accounting. In 1983 I passed the CPA exam, became a full time accountant in a CPA firm in 1984, and in 1989 was licensed by the State of California to practice as a Certified Public Accountant. The following year, 1990, I received a Master's Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Upon moving to Boulder I became a licensed CPA in Colorado. I started my own accounting business in 1996 and work primarily with small businesses, business start ups and individuals.

I believe that my success is dependent on the success of my clients. This attitude motivates me to give my clients the attention they need.
