Image Filters can be turned on or off as needed.
They do the following:
Re-size Pictures: Filters can make uploaded pictures smaller but not larger since that would "pixelate" them - make them grainy.
When the picture is re-sized its height and width ratio is not changed so the picture is not distorted.
Your staff can easily set the dimensions they want the final picture to be thus eliminating the time required to photo edit.
Convert Formats: Some image formats such as TIFF cannot be displayed by web browsers and need to be converted to JPEG, GIF or PNG.
Image filters do this automatically so your staff can turn the filter on if their uploaded picture does not draw.
