Example of a Management Interface

Here is an example of a management interface, a CMS.

Left: Menu
There is a left menu for access to all the sections of the site and its supporting tools.

Right: Editing
Loaded on the right is the backend of a page of the site.

This is a simple page because it has one edit display and one front-side view. However, Profile Templets can have several displays and views.

For instance a product can have a thumbnail view when a short version is displayed with other products of the same type. A click on the thumbnail opens a full-page view of the product. Yet another view of the same product data is pulled from the same Profile Templet to support a press release about the product or its category. It could even contribute its content to an RSS feed or a Froogle feed.

You enter the data once and all these other functions are automatically setup by the Profile.

Now let us inspect this edit display in more detail.
